I've only had time to check a few classes' macros but hopefully you find it useful.

Please feel free to link/type any others.

Re: Useful Macros

I macroed a few scripts to actionbars.

/script CombatLogClearEntries()
/script RetrieveCorpse()

If you want to be really effective, you can macro them to a spell/ability you use by doing

#showtooltip
/use [spell]
/script CombatLogClearEntries()

And also, you can macro various relics to spells by doing

#showtooltip
/equip [item]
/use [spell]

Which are great for shamans/paladins/druids.

If you do that, you need to hit it twice, first for the relic to equip, then to cast. You only need to add one line to avoid that inconvenience:

#showtooltip
/equip [item]
/stopcasting
/use [spell]

Wait what?.. /use? It should be /cast.

#showtooltip
/equip [item]
/stopcasting
/cast [spell]

A lesser known fact is that you can switch weapons that way, too. I have a helaing staff macroed with healing spell on otherwise cat dps Stirnius.

/equip Idol of the Avian Heart
/equip Seer's Cane
/stopcasting
/cast Healing Touch()

-----------------------------------------

Other than the already mentioned ones, i use alot of modifier macros, I have everything I need on buttons 1-5, so I can use the abilities at the same time, with the same hand as movement keys ASDW. (I bind [Alt] to a side button on my mouse.) Examples:

/equip [nomod]Idol of Terror
/equip [mod:alt]Idol of the Wild
/stopcasting
/cast [nomod] Mangle (Cat)()
/cast [mod:ctrl]Attack
/use [mod:shift]Berserker's Call
/cast [mod:alt]Mangle (Cat)()
/startattack

I suggest putting /startattack at the end of most used or opener attack skills, so atleast you target an enemy and start auto-attacking if you don't have enought energy/rage/mana for the ability. The /cast Attack there is actually for stopping autoattack when needed, even though I just usually hit F1 to target self instead. =/

/equip [nomod]Everbloom Idol
/stopcasting
/cast [nomod]Shred()
/cast [mod:alt]Pounce()
/cast [mod:shift]Tiger's Fury()
/stopcasting
/cast [mod:shift]Ravage()
/cast [mod:ctrl]Ravage()

The second /stopcasting here is needed to combine tiger's fury with ravage for a hefty opener. Otherwise shift just triggers TF during a fight with ravage erroring out since it depends on stealth.

Some ferals could use this macro:

/cancelaura travel form
/cancelaura cat form
/cancelaura dire bear form

If you've tried powershifting on truwow, you will know what it's for...

An interesting fact is that:

/cancelaura travel form
/cast [nochanneling] Travel Form()

Will make you a humanoid in travel form speed bonus included (although locked out of your spells), immune to hunter's scare beast and druid's hibernate.

/use is the same as /cast

And I've had the experience that one push equips AND casts... dunno about you guys.

But yeah, these sorts of macros are useful, so don't slack off; you're only hurting yourself if you do.

The "I win" macro

Post  Cogline on Sat Aug 21, 2010 6:06 am

Here's something i've struggled with for a bit. I'm trying to pop all my bonuses at once to get the most out of them. Here's what I've got

/use 13
/use 14
/cast rapid fire
/stopcasting
/cast berserking
/stopcasting
/cast Beastial Wrath (left over from when I was BM)

So right now, rapid fire, and berserking trigger on the first click (well keystroke) but I need to click a second time to get my trinkets to go off. I don't understand why since if anything the trinkets should go off first since they are first in the macro?

If anyone could explain/fix this I'd really appreciate it.
